New MSIC as a function of new MS

From Table 3: NMSIC = 0.089·NMS − 32.766 (error ± 8), useful for planning. Deviations stay within 8 except in 1978 — an anomaly reflecting the higher MSIC norm and other factors yet to be identified.

Norms relative to the world's ten best

The mean of the year's ten best scores regardless of class (1981 points table) and the averaged norms were expressed in comparable points; smoothed values follow the trend, 1981–83 are forecasts.
